Henry Tonie made his living in various areas including the following:

Henry Tonie left home at the age of 12 years old and lived with his brother Tonie.

Henry and Louvina moved from Floyd, VA to the town of Lakota, Ledyard Twp, Kossuth Co, IA in 1910, then from Lakota, IA to Fairmont, MN in 1925. Then to a Brush Creek, MN farm in March of 1940. Henry made his own building plans and put up all new buildings on both places.
In 1955 Henry made his house plans and built it in Blue Earth, MN and then drove back and forth to the farm.

Henry and Louvina met each other thru Louvina's sister Zilphia, Art Lester, and Tonie C. Schaper. Tonie's first wife was Art Lester's sister. When Henry left home from his folks, he went and lived with Tonie C. Schaper. (text contributed from Theron and Betty Schaper)

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, 14 April 1965, at Patton Blue Earth Funeral Home with the Rev. Harold Stuart officiating. Burial was at Maple Hill Cemetery at Lakota, IA.

Henry and Hazel made their home with Theron and Betty Schaper when they weren't living in Decatuer, Ill. After Henry's death, Hazel moved back to Decatuer, Ill.
