Notes for Carl VOLCK
From Carmichael history (LDS 610029):

"In 1756 Charles Volck was commander of Fort Allen and in 1758, commander of Fort Everett. Benjamin Franklin stated in a letter 14 Jan 1756 that he raised a company under Foulk and in a letter 26 Jan 1756 states that Foulk commanded 46 men. When Charles Foulk completed building Fort Allen, he went to build another 'between this and Schulykill fort', which became Fort Everett where he commanded 63 men."

See notes on his supposed father Andreas - Carmichael history says that he was born at sea in November 1709; however, records of the Kocherthal colony suggest that Andreas actually arrived in New York in 1708.

This is straightened out in Foulke Lupfer genealogy: Carl was born at sea on November 18, 1708, and baptized by Kocherthal on the ship (the Globe) on November 28. Since I have a baptismal date in New York listed also, it would suggest there may have been a second ceremony there. The Foulke work (which deals specifically with his descendants, and seems to be copiously documented) says that the sponsor on shipboard was the captain, Charles Congreve, for whom he was apparently named.

The party arrived in New York harbor on December 18, 1708, but did not reach Newburgh on the Hudson until New Year's Day 1709. Carl/Charles died in 1769 and was buried at Hebron PA. The dates on the tombstone are 1709-1769, however.

Note that his wife's cemetery records (see her file) say he died in 1766.
