Notes for Johann Adam FULK
Did he also marry Magdalena Hauser? She supposedly married an Adam Volck. There are two others in the database, but they seem a little young to be hers. Also see Andreas Volck Jr. From somewhere I have him married to Madgalena Hauser, probably erroneously.

Records 3:1392, list of entries made on the Moravian Land 1778, Adam Volk enters Two hundred Acres of Land in Surry County on both Sides of Grassy Creek, adjoining of Leonhd Moser, Peter Feiser, including the above Place for Compliment. Sep. 28, 1778.

5:2202. May 29, Bethania. Last evening I was requested to come to the home of a friend, Johann Adam Volck, and hold the funeral of his four-year-old daughter who fell asleep yesterday. This morning I rode thither with Volck, Sr., and his two sons; the place was ten miles away and we reached tehre toward noon. More friends and neighbors had gathered than I expected. The service was held in a new house, with only a roof, but with plenty of boards for benches. After the burial, and after eating a little, we went home.

8:3888. Feb. 28, 1829. In the forenoon a certain Jacob Moser came with the news that old Adam Volk, formerly a member of the coutnry congregation, had died yesterday. Request was made that I conduct the funeral service Sunday. He lived abou 11 miles from here near the Sauratown Mountains. On account of other duties I could not comply with the request and referred him to Pastor Schober in Salem, their own preacher.
March 1. Since Pastor Schober could not serve, I was asked to hold the funeral of old Adam Volk. Promised to visit Sr. Elisabeth Butner in Bethabara on the way.
March 2. She seemed to be better. At 8:00 o'clock I left for the funeral, which was largely attended. The deceased had formerly belonged to the country congregation, and had lived in Allemängel (where he was born), Schoeneck, Tulpehocken, near Bethania on old Isaac Pfaff's plantation, and last at his home 11 miles from Bethania, where he joined the Luteran Church under Pastor Schober's care. He died calmbly, at peace with his God.
