Carmichael History lists his wife as Catharina Boeckel, daughter of Johann Nicholas Boeckell, d. 16 OCT 1827. From somewhere I have that he married Maria Magdalena Hauser and then Rebecca Laydon. Need to straighten this out!
He is referred to as unmarried in April 1786 (Records 5:2137)
Dec. 17, 1788. Br. Volk, Sr., has reported that his son Andreas intends to marry Catharina Boeckel, daughter of Johann Nicholas Boeckel of Friedberg, to which there is no objection.
So it would appear that he did marry her.
July 26, 1814. By request, Br. Kluge today visited a very miserable, sick man named Andreas Volck, who lives about twenty miles from here. He found the man already speechless, and could only urge him fervently to turn to the Saviour in these last moments of his life.
July 17. Br. Klgue went again to that neighborhood, stopping at the home of Charles Holder, fourteen miles from here, to whose farm the remains were to be brought for burial.
