From Carmichael history: baptized by a Moravian minister in a home with the infants of other women, whose husbands were away in the army. He is recorded in the published records as a son of Henry Holder, but in the Moravian archives he is correctly listed as the son of George.

John's marriage to Elizabeth Leinbach is mentioned in Moravian Records 6:2832. Their 7 children are all recorded at Shiloh Lutheran and are also named in Lawrence Co. IN Will Book I, p. 55, dated 4 Mar 1839, recorded 22 MAR 1839.
