Notes for Conrad STUMPF
Left Germany at 16 with 65 cents in his pocket to avoid military training, of which he disapproved. Learned brick-making and soon owned his own factory in Kansas City, Missouri. He owned one of the first Henry Oldsmobiles ("Come with me, Lucille,…" etc.). The front seat faced front. The back seat faced backwards.
