A Mason. Ruda was a natural leader, taking part in numerous community and religious affairs. She served as president of the YWCA Board of Directors for eighteen years in Abilene, where they lived from 1927 on. Member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy on the service record of Harrison Davis.
